An application has been made by the Crown to the High Court at Rarotonga under Article 40 of the Constitution of the Cook Islands and under section 359 of the Cook Islands Act 1915 for:

An assessment and award of compensation payable to the Landowners of native customary land (Land) at Rakahanga taken by Warrant on 11 July 2013 for public purposes specifically for the construction and operation of a Solar Energy Farm on the grounds that the Landowners are entitled to compensation from the Crown.

The Land is uninvestigated and is situated in Rakahanga and contains FIVE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED AND SIXTY TWO (5,662m2) SQUARE METRES as delineated in the survey plan D3625 attached to this notice.

The Land Division of the High Court is required to investigate who the landowners of the Land are and determine their relative interests.
